Celebrating wonderful writing, exceptional effort and terrific teaching is our absolute favourite thing to do! At Pobble HQ, we’re so lucky that we get to see awesome examples of these every day.
We’re firm believers that achievements should be celebrated. With that in mind, we’d like to introduce The Pobble Awards! Your chance to thank and celebrate your writing stars (and their teachers!). There are 20 categories to choose from; enter one, or as many as you like. It doesn’t matter if you’re a Pobble veteran, or just getting started!
Do you have a handwriting hero, a grammar guru, or a narrative ninja in your class? Do you have a teacher on your staff that continuously goes above and beyond to make writing ridiculously exciting in your school? Their efforts deserve to be shared and celebrated! Put them forward for a Pobble Award!

The Pobble 36-high-5 Award
We’re continuously overwhelmed by the quality and content of writing we receive based on our Pobble365 images. This award will go to the pupil that has written an incredible piece based on a Pobble 365 prompt. Know just the person? Give them a nomination!

The Writing Wizard Award
Stumbled across a piece of writing on Pobble that knocked your socks off? Were you blown away by the writing wizardry? That’s a contender for our Writing Wizard Award for sure! Share your nominations with us!

The Professor H Time Travel Award

Let’s celebrate those young authors that hook you in instantly, grip you with their opening lines and make you want to read on. The Captain of the Hooks Award will go to the best hook or story starter in a piece of writing. Get your nominations in!

The Petit Pobbler Award
We love to celebrate writing across all age groups. Seeing emerging writing skills is a wonderful sight! This award is specifically for a pupil in our youngest age groups. Have a nursery or reception child that’s already showing signs of being a top author in the making?

The Picture Perfect Pobbler Award
Illustrations can transform a piece of writing into a work of art and these artists shouldn’t be overlooked. If you’ve got an incredible illustrator in your class who regularly transform their works with their drawing then they could be in the running for a Picture Perfect Pobbler Award!

The On-your-marks Award
Do you have a master mark maker in your class? Do their emerging writing skills show great promise? The On-your-marks Award is for the littlest of writers. Give your EYFS pupils a nomination and celebrate their achievements!

The Captain Comment Award
Comments make the Pobble world go round, leaving comments on writing inspires and motivates massively so this award is to honour your commenting kings or queens. Do you have a pupil that overwhelms you with their commenting skills? Then this award is for them!

The Pobble Power Award
Has Pobble made a real difference to one of your students? Were they a handwriting hater before Pobble and now a budding Roald Dahl? We’re looking for a motivational story where Pobble really did make a difference to a young writer.

The Grammar Guru Award
We all know that one person who is a grammar guru, someone who knows their adverbs from their adjectives and their nouns from their pronouns. DO you have one in your class? We’re looking for the best use of grammar in a piece of writing.

The ‘Don’t leave me hanging’ Award
You know that feeling when you get to the end of a piece of writing and it leaves you hanging, wanting more? That gasp, that wow moment! We want to celebrate these moments. Nominate a piece of writing with the best cliff-hanger and the author could win a Pobble Award!

This award goes to a young writer who demonstrates perfect penmanship! Do you have a cursive king or queen in your class? Does their handwriting put most adults to shame? Then this one is for them.

How to nominate
Nominating couldn’t be simpler: Tweet us using the hashtag #PobbleAwards or post on our Facebook page with your nomination (first names only please) along with a link to their work on Pobble* if applicable. Don’t forget to mention the category you’re entering and a short description of why they should win. Submissions are also welcome via email. We’ll add them to our long list of nominations. Don’t forget your school can enter as many categories as you like!
